ARTALIA studio — artists at work

About the Studio

Made by hand.Rooted in place.

ARTALIA is a collective of artists based in Southeast Asia, making custom commissioned paintings for homes and spaces around the world.

Our Story

Art that begins with a place.

ARTALIA was founded on a simple belief: that a painting made for a specific space — with intention, by hand — carries something that no print or reproduction ever can.

We began as a small studio in Southeast Asia, drawn together by a shared love of craft and a frustration with the distance between people and the art on their walls. We wanted to close that distance.

Today we work with clients across the region and around the world — homeowners, interior designers, architects, and developers — creating pieces that are made to last and made to belong.

Philosophy

We believe in the handmade.

01

Craft over speed

Every piece takes as long as it needs. We don't rush work, and we don't cut corners. The materials we use are archival quality — made to last generations.

02

Collaboration over prescription

We don't impose a style. We listen to your vision and bring it to life. The best commissions are conversations — between your space and our craft.

03

Rooted in place

Southeast Asia is in our work — its light, its colour, its textures. We draw from the world around us, and that rootedness gives our paintings a quality that is hard to define but easy to feel.

The Artists

A small collective. A shared standard.

We work with a curated group of artists across oil, watercolour, and mixed media. Each brings a distinct voice, but all share the same commitment to craft and the same care for every commission.

Maya Srisuk

Oil & Large-Scale

Maya Srisuk

Maya trained in fine art in Bangkok and has spent the last decade developing a practice centred on large-scale oil paintings. Her work is known for its luminous surfaces and quiet emotional depth.

Lena Hartmann

Watercolour & Mixed Media

Lena Hartmann

Lena brings a European sensibility to Southeast Asian subjects. Her watercolour commissions are delicate, precise, and full of light — particularly suited to residential interiors.

Rio Santoso

Mixed Media & Mural

Rio Santoso

Rio works across scales — from intimate mixed media studies to large-scale commercial murals. His practice draws on Indonesian visual traditions and contemporary abstraction.

Southeast Asia — the landscape that shapes our work

Southeast Asia

Rooted here. Reaching everywhere.

Our studio is based in Southeast Asia — a region of extraordinary light, colour, and creative energy. That context shapes everything we make. We ship worldwide, and we work with clients across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
